We have always been obsessed with weight loss. We want to look our best and attractive all the time, though we don't necessarily do everything we need to stay slim and keep our weight in control so we end up gaining weight.
When we find that we have taken on some extra weight it then becomes how to go about losing it. We start looking for resources on the internet, magazines and books to help us in our quest to lose and how to go about it.
One of the first things to focus on is how we got there in the first place which is from all of the calories we have ingested from the fast food we eat, not taking the time to think a little bit about how we should be eating. The time is now to begin doing this, seize the moment.
Let's begin to think more about what it is we can do to trim down and possibly create some good rules to keep us feeling and looking good.
As I pointed out earlier we ingest way too many calories and this means we need to cut down but not out because we still need a certain amount of those calories to generate the daily energy required to function. What we need to do avoid is the sugar loaded beverages such as soft drinks, beverages and gourmet coffees that we consume continuously throughout the day; well no more, the key here is moderation; pace yourself.
For most desk pilots, couch potatoes and any other activity challenged individual it is time to get in motion with exercise. Yes, that calorie burning activity that will make a waistline a reality once again. When you exercise you need to feel the burn which is the physical indicator that you are in the groove, with the groove being the cardio level where your body begins to actually burn calories. The way you know you are there is by the amount of sweat you are producing, well not really, but it is by what your target heart rate is, measured by your pulse. On my treadmill there is a chart depicting these rates with a monitor built into the grips to detect and display my heart rate. For example, someone 50 (not me) the target burn rate is 105 to 115 and exceeding that rate is really unnecessary for the idea is of a sustained target rate.
